About Ilana Moon and Alseny "Michel" Diallo
Ilana Moon's passion and love of dance started at a a young age. Immersed in ballet, jazz and tap from the age of five, Ilana is honored to share her lifelong gifts of movement and dance. African dance was introduced at the age of 12 and now with the addition of playing and performing in a professional Zimbabwean Marimba Drum and Dance Troupe Jambanja, the learning never stops, only gets deeper and richer.

Now at the age of 32, with 26 years of dance experience and 10 years as a performer of various ensembles of the African musical genre, Ilana is thrilled to pass the knowledge on. The younger we start to dance, the more core strength, flexibility and freedom of movement we attain. There are various classes available from aged 4 and up - from hip hop to African dance, and the newest dance craze, Afro-belly. The community developing for the kids and adults is a very supportive environment and lifetime friendships are being created. You can check out the Dancing Moon company performances at various fundraisers and events ... more are welcome to join in the fun!
